Palo Santo 'Especial' Wood Shavings Natural Powder Incense

Why choose Palo Santo Especial:

It is the variety of Palo Santo that grows in northern Peru. In this area, the Bursera graveolens tree grows on rocky ground and in harsh climatic and environmental conditions which, however, favour the development of a large amount of resin and a particularly strong and intense aroma. The shaving format is suitable for those who wish to perform purification ceremonies and rituals and for those who prefer to mix Palo Santo with other resins and incenses.

How are the shavings used?

Using the shavings is very simple:

1. Light a charcoal disc and place it on the metal mesh inside the burner (see one of our handmade terracotta burners).
2. When the charcoal becomes glowing hot, take a pinch of shavings and place it on the charcoal itself.
3. The Palo Santo shaving powder lights in a short time and releases an abundant amount of smoke.
4. The duration of the fumigation with shavings is fairly limited, so the incense needs to be renewed often if you wish to continue the fumigation.

What are the benefits of the shaving format?

Ease of use is the strength of the shavings, as once lit they burn on their own. They produce a high amount of smoke compared with other Palo Santo formats.

The benefits of Palo Santo shavings are many:

• Purifies the energies of places and environments
• Promotes inner harmony and mental and physical rebalancing
• Releases an aroma that stimulates concentration and introspection
• Creates a relaxing atmosphere that stimulates creativity.
• Keeps annoying insects away.
